This section covers the steps required to install the Siemens N4 Appliance on a newly created N4 Supervisor (PC) station.
Complete the procedure Before Installing the Siemens N4 Appliance before performing these steps.
- Create a new empty station
a. From the Tools menu, create a new supervisor station of the appropriate type for the target platform (i.e. Windows or Linux).
b. After setting the admin password, select copy it to secure platform for “localhost” with “Station Copier.
- Add services
NOTE: Do not manually install BacnetNetwork from the palette. The sieUpdateStation process below will add a pre-configured BacnetNetwork with pre-configured features.
Open the newly created station and do the following in the Palette sidebar:
a. Open the sieUtilities palette and drag SieUtilitiesService and SieUpgradeStation into the station’s Config/Services folder.
b. Open the dashboard palette and drag DashboardService into the station’s Config/Services folder.
- Upgrade the station
Right-click the SieUpgradeStation service and select Actions/Sie Upgrade Station.
- The station is converted to a Siemens N4 Appliance station.
- Restart the station
Open Platform/Application Director and restart the new station.
- The installation is complete.
