The default Hierarchy is provided so that you can rename the Site and Area names and create new sites and areas.

You can customize hierarchies by adding/duplicating an area or site in the hierarchy. You do this by using the duplicate function.

NOTE:
Site names can be renamed.
You can also duplicate sites using this procedure, except you do not have to perform Steps 2 and 3. When you duplicate a site, you will also need to duplicate the Siemens Summary View for the areas that were duplicated along with the site as described in Steps 4 through 11.

To Add an Area in the Hierarchy

  1. From the Nav pane, expand Config, Siemens_Site, Demo_Site and then select and right-click an area of the site (for example, West Wing) and then select Duplicate.
  • The Name dialog box displays.
  1. Enter a name (for example, North Wing) for the area you are adding. Click OK.
  1. Right-click the new area you added, and select Relation Mark.
  1. Navigate to Station, Files, px, Siemens_Site_Views, and then expand Siemens_Site_Views.
  1. Duplicate the [Original Area Summary Name.px] and assign a [New Area Summary Name.px].
  1. Navigate to Station, Config, Siemens_Site, and expand Siemens_Site [Site Name].
  1. Right-click the new [Area Name] and select AX Property Sheet.
  1. Expand Summary View, Px View.
  1. Change the Px File to the new px file you created in Step 5, using the File Ord Chooser or typing the file name.
